Biography

Edward King Bass IV is an American artist whose creative practice is deeply rooted in psychologically driven abstraction. Drawing from a wide range of elements and materials, he constructs compositions that evoke a complex cocktail of emotions—feelings that are not typically experienced in unison. By doing so, Edward aims to uncover deeper truths about the human experience, offering a more transparent lens through which to view reality, while simultaneously exploring themes of non-duality in his work.

Born in Florida and raised in Georgia, Edward eventually relocated to Baltimore, Maryland, where he worked in a psychiatric hospital. It was within that environment—surrounded by raw human vulnerability and emotional intensity—that he found profound inspiration, prompting him to pursue his artistic journey with renewed seriousness and purpose.
